When once Claudia Beni has read in a newspaper, that she is “ one more debutant at competition in Dora 2003 ”, she has burst out laughing and has told: - “ Where you were, when I sang in Dora?! ”. The matter is that Claudia really already acted in Dora in group “Teens” with a song “Miris ljubavi ”, in 1999. At that time the young vocalist of the group was 12 years old only. “Teens”, which name was “Mici rokeri” earlier, were, probably, the youngest participants of this competition. Unfortunately, at that year Claudia and her group was not possible to become the Croatian representatives on Eurovision Song Contest. However, time which the singer had spend out with group “Teens”, has provided to her invaluable experience, which she has received during performances across Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Montenegro.
 The group “Mici rokeri ” has been created in 1996. In 1998 they have replaced the name on “Teens”, at some time a teacher of music, Mario Simunovic has become interested in young musicians. Mario became the manager of group. The “Teens” has released three full albums - “U tami i svjetlosti”, “Blue laguna” and “Andeo cuvar”. Sales level of thouse albums has achieved almost 30 000 copies. Also group has released a lot of singles.
In 2002 after the “Teens” have won the “Porin Award” as the best beginners, Claudia Beni has made the decision to leave group and to engage in solo career. In the summer of 2002 she already has released the first album with 12 songs. The team consisting of Marko Tomasovic, Aleksandar Valencic, Mario Vestic, Denis Dumancic, Andrej Babic, Davor Devcic and Sandro Beni took part in creation of this album. Manager Mario Simunovic supervised this team. The album at once has occupied high positions in the Croatian charts, having brought to Claudia a deserved success. Singles, like a “Tako hrabar da me ostavi?”, “Ili ona ili ja”, “Led”, “Neki dani”, “Hajde
reci ne to” and “Idem ja” also promoted growth of her popularity. Solo musical style of Claudia is a little different from style in which “Teens” worked . It is a mix of the dancepop, dance and a rock-pop music.
One time Claudia worked together with the veteran of the Croatian pop, Ivana Banfic, having executed a song “Hrvatice vas vole”, devoted to participation of the national Croatian combined football team in the World Championship in Japan. This work is the clear proof that Claudia possesses not only model body, but also good musical abilities.
 Claudia Beni - the youngest participant of Eurovision Song Contest 2003. It will turn 17 on May 30 to her. Now Claudia studies on the second rate at school of hairdressers - stylists in the city of Opatija, and lives with her parents and the brother (he was the participant of group “Teens”, like a Claudia) in Pobri, near Opatija.
Competition Dora 2003 (during this program the Croatian representative on Eurovision Song Contest gets out), has been lead within three nights. 7-th and on 8-th of March twelve songs among themselves competed. On 9-th of March six best of them, chosen by televoting, have taken part in the final of competition. Claudia Beni was on the second place in a semifinal. But the final was won by her with song Vi’e nisam tvoja. Claudia was possible to win a maximum quantity of voices of all Croatian provinces. Vi’e nisam tvoja is a bright song with a little bit provocative text.
Becoming the representative of Croatia on Eurovision Song Contest 2003, Claudia has made record of the English version songs Vi’e nisam tvoja, having named it “I Can’t Be Your Lover”. She has asked the Croatian public to solve, in what language - Croatian or English - the song will be executed in Riga. As now in Croatia the idea of revival of national consciousness is rather popular, has been solved the initial, Croatian version of song get to Riga.
